Coronation proceedings were scheduled as usual. The second coming of Christ seemed eminent, they all knew it would be in the form of another rock star, this one different. So they all prepared.

 

        Peach trees were cut down to make room for the event. Buildings were staged, marked with neon signs, so as not to be missed. Foreseeable connections, attempts to make them work out on time, to be late was to miss the show, a card string closed the project down. The newspapers told us. We believed.

 

        Plastic coat hangers are in my closet, I can't find metal ones anymore, some things become extinct, die out. Crazes fade. 

 

        Modern times, present days, a curtain held up to shade an indecent man. Looking up to see the mess you have made.
